Gratitude List 17/5/23
Now that I have finally broadened my horizons, outside of the confines of Covent Garden I have discovered 'The Victoria Embankment Gardens': For a new place to hang out: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
These are interesting gardens. Meticulously maintained, ethereal and other worldly. One the one hand it's possible to see the tops of boats sailing by, on the other hand birds sing loudly against the backdrop of Cleopatra's Needle. There are many trees of great beauty. For an Oasis: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Walking home I passed through Covent Garden. There were throngs of people, the Police and a very posh car bearing the "Royal Standard". This was because King Charles and Queen Camilla were visiting. For chats with strangers: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Seeing the kerfuffle I had huge gratitude for the simplicity of my life (well relative simplicity). As their royal highnesses were 30 minutes away, I took Flo home and did not wait. For privacy: 'Thank You, Thank You, Thank You'.
The photo above, in which, if You look carefully King Charles can just about be spotted, was taken by Zach. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I gave some thought to the concept that I have, that everyone has 'a kingdom' of some sort. I would not like to swop my life to live in a Palace. For freedom: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I must admit that it was interesting to observe the impact of the Royal Visit. The streets around Covent Garden felt empty, as if everyone was drawn by a magnet to St Paul, the centre of the visit. For interest: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For an eclectic day: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For my work, on this day Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For love, for contentment: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
